Hynautic K-25 Cylinder Replacement was created by Debi Shaimas
Good Day,
Have discovered that the rod on our K-25 cylinder has been scored resulting in fluid leaks.
The K-25 is not made any more, nor are repair parts.
Research on the internet says one can replace it with The Teleflex HC5369.
Has anyone replaced their K-25? With what? Any advice to share or pitfalls to warn against?
Thanks,
Debi

We had the same problem and replaced the hydraulic cylinder with the model you specified. We had to have a new bracket made to hold the new cylinder but other than that, we have had no problems.

I was concerned that that the HC5369 has a shorter stroke (9" versus 10"). Good to hear that it has not been a problem for you.
Am thinking to take the existing cylinder apart and have a new rod machined when we fly to the U.S. for Thanksgiving. Have been in contact with some machine shops and they say it is do-able. If we get up there and find they cannot do it, will have to buy a new cylinder I guess.
Will report back.
Thanks again.
