Has anybody else cleaned chain this way ? was created by Martin Gaffney
I had 150 ft of good rusty/cruddy/dirty but sound chain and was perplexed at how to clean it prior to re-galvanising it.
A Newfoundland labourer on my worksite heard me talking and said ''easy, just throw it in a concrete mixer with a few shovels of gravel, sand a bucket of water and run it for an hour ! ''
Comes out clean as a whistle and ready to dry before ''hot dip'' with Zinc. Did everybody but me always know this before ?
9hot dip)
