How big are the Water Tanks??

Does anybody know the actual size of the belly tanks and the V birth Tank?

It seems common knowledge and often claimed on the internet that the Whitby 42 holds 290 gallons.

But I can't find a break down?? A common answer is 80 gallon Belly tanks, which makes 160 gallons.
The V birth tank is NOT 120 gallons?? (or at least doesn't look that big, more like 40)

As a rule of thumb I have calculated a hundred US gallons in each of the main salon tanks and fifty in the bow tank. It may be a little light but I would rather err to the low estimate and actually have a few gallons extra.

On our 1973 Whitby 42 the belly tanks are about 100 us gal.+ each. the bow tank has been decommissioned and now a storage area but I would guess it to have been
over 50 gals.
