Cleaning/refinishing ports on a '75 Whitby 42 was created by Robert Horn
The ports on our new to us Whitby look really bad. The glass is fine but the metal frame is corroded.Anybody now of a way to either clean the metal parts or refinish them somehow?
Thanks,
Bob

Thought maybe bump this topic since there has been no response. Surely someone else has faced this issue.

Try Hatchmasters in Connecticut. I’ve tried doing them myself but I kept cracking the glass.

They do a complete refurbish. New glass and gaskets.

New Found Metal replacements make an old boat look new again - worth considering, and fairly easy.

Used them on our last sailboat. Not in the budget at the moment, boat needs too many other things.
