Bob Smith and American Diesel was created by Greg Temple
Bob Smith from American Diesel spent 7 hours with us at the 2008 Whitby Fall Rendezvous fielding questions about Ford-Lehmans, Perkins and Volvo engines. He answered a large number of questions and specified numerous procedures applicable to "low rpm, high-torque" engine owners/operators.
Bob is regarded as a knowledgeable expert on Lehman and Perkins experts. His company specializes in Ford-Lehmans and can supply Perkins parts with expert advice. I you read this as an endorsement of Bob's skill and insight, you are correct. We appreciate Bob's dedication to helping the cruising sailor and in providing "real-time" advice.
Great News! Bob has volunteered to be the "go-to guy" for questions from diesel operators having THORNY problems. Contact Bob at bobsmithadc@juno.com with your tough problems. He will answer you via email and post his answers to our site.
Thank-you Bob !
